Google is all set to make Android 13 available for users and before doing so, it has released the Android 13 developer beta 4, which is the last one for “testing and development.” Beta 4 of Android 13 is mostly about some finishing touches before the stable version hits.

Android 13 release date, features, supported devices list, codename, and more have been doing the rounds off the internet ever since Google announced the developer preview of the OS back in February. The Android 13 is believed to be the successor of Android 12, which introduced one of the biggest design overhauls the OS has seen since the Android 5.0 release with the Material You design language. While the Smartphone OEMs including Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi and others continue to push Android 12 on their devices, Google has already started testing the next iteration of its widely popular OS. Let’s take a look at the new things Android 13 will bring to the table.

What is Android 13?

Android 13 is the thirteen major version of the Android operating system. It is the successor to Android 12. Android 13 carries the codename Tiramisu. The codenames of Android versions are based on the names of different sweets. Following the same, the Android 13, which has the codename Tiramisu, is a coffee-flavored dessert.

Android 13 release date

Google has officially introduced its next-gen mobile OS Android 13. The search giant announced the second public beta of the operating system (OS) at its Google I/O 2022 keynote. In terms of features,

there’s nothing substantial in the current build, but some fine-tuning of previously discovered glitches. Google says there’s a lot to explore in Android 13, such as privacy features like the new notification permission and photo picker. In terms of productivity-focused features, there are themed app icons and per-app language support, as well as modern standards like HDR video, Bluetooth LE Audio, and MIDI 2.0 over USB.

Moreover, Android tablet users will receive benefits from this next full release.

The company says it extended the updates made in Android 12L, giving users “better tools to take advantage of tablet and large screen devices”.Android 13 is focused on various new privacy features like notification permissions, photo picker, and more. It also adds some visual changes in the form of new Material You themes (for app icons too), per-app language support, better support for big-screen devices, and loads more.

There’s also support for Bluetooth LE,

HDR video, and more “modern” standards. You can check some of the top Android 13 features we have compiled to know more.
