Lava Xolo A700 Goes On Sale for INR 9999

Its been long time after the launch of Lava Xolo X900, the all new Lava Xolo A700 has arrived in Indian market with the price tag of Rs 9999. The smartphone is definitely a strong competitor to Micromax A110 and other Android smartphones in this price segment. The handset is currently running Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich and has qHD display with screen-size of 4.5 inches. Comparing the display, Micromax A110 has 5 inch screen-size but the qHD term in Xolo A700 is considered as one of the several point to attract customers.

Lava Xolo A700

Micromax has become well-known Android smartphone brand and Micromax A110 and A90S are considered as one of the top choice by various newbie Android buyers. With the launch of Lava Xolo X700, they will have one more option to consider and believe me both these smartphones will have stiff competition ahead. It will be tough to make the final decision between two but Lava Xolo A700 has a slight upper edge when it comes to hardware performance.

The Lava Xolo A700 is powered by 1GHz dual core MT6577 processor and 512MB RAM which is more than sufficient. Lava Xolo A700 support dual SIM with one SIM for 3G and another one for 2G. Everything till now is as same as that of Micromax A110. In fact both these smartphones come up with 4GB internal storage. Lava Xolo A700 is equipped with 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP front facing camera for video calling. In terms of battery power, Lava Xolo A700 is packed with 1700mAh battery whereas Micromax A110 has 2000mAh battery. Well, few ups and downs there in battery life but don’t expect them to be very big.

  1. This phone is not a competition to Micromax A110. Already A110 is established as the best Android phone in the market. This phone should be better than that. Not at all. Moreover Micromax has a better brand value compared to Lava. This is something like ‘I too ran’ type. Screen size is smaller. I am expecting Screen size of Samsung Note 2. i.e. 5.5 inch. So I do not even look at this phone.

    • Yes, Micromax A110 has established as “one of the” best Android phone in that price segment but apparently Lava is new in this market and have done well with Xolo A700. The features are quite excellent at this price range.
Well, 5.5inch display device? I don’t think there is any such device from any prominent manufacturer at this point of time for INR 10-12k. Both these smartphones are good if you could just lower down your expectation a bit. Else, you can always go for Note 2 itself.
