Method 1: Record Zoom Meeting on Desktop With Permission
Zoom local recording is available to free and paid subscribers. Local recording allows participants to record meeting video and audio locally to a computer.
As an administrator, you can start a meeting recording directly. However, as a participant, you should get the assigned recording privileges from an administrator and then can find the record button.
Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Enabling local recording

Click Participants to see which participants are currently recording.
Note: If you are a participant, you should ask the administrator to assign the recording privileges to you.
Step 3: Pause and stop Zoom recording
While recording a Zoom meeting, a participant can stop or pause the recording by clicking the Pause/Stop Recording button.
