Apple announces that it is going to host WWDC 2022 this year from June 6. Just like the last couple of years, it will be going to host it online only. This year, the company is going to unveil iOS 16 and watchOS 9 for its users globally. As per the recent Power On newsletter by Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to launch new hardware this year with several health-related features.
Gurman also says that Apple may not bring an end-to-end redesign to the iOS‘ interface, even though it hasn’t changed much from iOS 7. He also says that the iPadOS 16 may also enhance the multitasking capabilities between iPhone and iPad.The company will allow some developers and students to attend in-person sessions at the Apple Park in Cupertino.
Apple WWDC 2022 is going to kick off from June 6
There are speculations that Apple will introduce “major upgrades to activity and health tracking” in watchOS 9 this year. According to Mark Gurman, it is highly unlikely that the company will announce its much-rumored Mixed Reality headset at the WWDC this year.
As per the newsletter, “As far as I know, a full-blown introduction of the mixed-reality headset is still probably out of the question in June, but I am told that beta versions of iOS 16—codenamed Sydney—are chock-full of references to the headset and its interactions with the iPhone.
Details reveal about Apple WWDC
The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference will run through June 10 where developers and students from across the world will participate together to work on new software and apps engineered around the company’s hardware products.
Among them could be the next version of iOS, probably the iOS 16, which will bring new features and better security to the iPhone. The details, however, are scarce at the moment. Much like the iPhone, Apple’s other hardware products, such as the iPad, Mac, Watch, and TV, are likely to get their new software iterations at the WWDC. It is worth noting that the stable builds of each operating system will arrive after the iPhone event in September this year.
