Finally, the billionaire Elon Musk took over Twitter last week.  After taking control of Twitter, Musk speedily started working on it. Musk’s new ideas have truly shaken the world. He wants to completely make over the platform.

The new boss has changed the site’s verification process. The staff complaining of being asked to take on longer hours to make the changes as fast as possible. Musk has fired the top executives of the Company. He is working on laying off the Employees.

A Verification Badge cost has been increased. These steps compelled many Celebrities, Artists to say goodbye to the platform and look for a better option.

In the aftermath of the takeover, a number of celebrities, including “Bridgerton” creator Shonda Rhimes and musician Sara Bareilles have announced they are leaving the platform, while NBA legend LeBron James urged Musk to address the “scary AF” surge in N-word use.

A data firm, Bot Sentinel, is claiming that Twitter might have lost close to one million users even since the new boss Elon Musk bought the tech company. The company reported that around 877,000 accounts have been deactivated so far.

How to backup

Go to “Settings,” then “Your account,” click “Download an archive of your data” and enter your password to request a ZIP file of your account information. You’ll get a notification when it is ready to download.

How to Deactivate your Twitter Account?

  • Open Twitter on your phone and tap on your profile icon, which is located in the top left corner of the screen.
  •  Now, tap on Settings and support.
  •  Tap again on Settings and privacy > Account > Deactivate Account.
  •  You will find a Deactivate button at the bottom of the screen in red color, just tap on it to start the deactivation process. After this, you just need to follow the on-instructions to delete your Twitter account.

When you deactivate your Account, the mentions of your account’s username in other’s Tweets will still exist. However, the platform will stop linking it to your profile as your profile will no longer be available. However, the platform gives you 30 days to reactivate your Account. If you don’t log into your account during this time period, then it permanently deletes your Twitter account. “Once your account is deleted, your account is no longer available in our systems.
