Google Delays Mandatory Return to Office Beyond January 10

Hey readers, as you must be aware of the fact that the new enemy to mankind has arrived, and this time, it is known as Omicron. After so much suffering with Corona Virus, with so many difficulties, our lives get back to a normal state. But now it seems that this is not going to go much longer as another variant of Corona Virus which is far more deadly has arrived at many places of the world. If reports are to be believed then it is much more harmful and its mortality rate is even higher than the previous one. We know that what coronavirus has done to our lives. So imagine, if it is more harmful than the previous one, then what could happen if it spreads.
Google said the update was in line with its earlier guidance
We have seen many lives lost due to this pandemic. All businesses, everything went shut down which drastically put an adverse effect on the economy of the world.
For the past few months, things were getting normal as the vaccination drive was almost complete in many parts of the world. But this variant has again hit the doors. In fact many big companies like Infosys, TCS, Google started getting back their employees to the offices. But now Google has delayed its plan to bring back its employees to the office amid growing concerns over the Omicron variant of the coronavirus and some resistance to company-mandated vaccinations
Previously in an august month, Google announced that from January 10, they will call their employees to work from the office for 3 days a week. But now while seeing the Omicron outbreak, the company has decided to put off the deadline beyond that date.
in fact, Google said the update was in line with its earlier guidance that a return to workplaces would begin no earlier than January 10 and depend on local conditions.
Nearly 40 percent of US employees have come into an office
You won’t believe it but almost 40 % of US employees have even started working from their offices in the past few weeks. But then a recent report came that almost hundreds of employees have protested the company’s vaccination mandate for those working on US government contracts.
We all are aware of the fact that Google was one of those first companies that offer its employees to allow work from home when this pandemic hit globally. It is definitely one of the biggest businesses in the world with 85 offices across nearly 60 countries.
Europe has so far recorded 79 cases of the Omicron variant
Europe has so far recorded 79 cases of the Omicron variant, first detected in southern Africa last month, the European Union’s public health agency said earlier on Thursday.
