Google Cloud Platform is forming a specialized Web 3 team to take advantage of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. The cloud computing services suite says its new Web3 team will focus on building the service for developers running blockchain applications. In addition, the team will also provide blockchain services to businesses and customers looking to take advantage of the technology. A roadmap has already been laid out in the new Google Cloud Web 3 division, to be operated by former Citigroup executive James Tromans. Apart from this, Zaveri also said that the plan is to make the Google Cloud Platform the prime choice for developers. In addition, the Vice President also emphasized the new group’s ‘supporting role’ in growing crypto in a media session.

The services are provided by Web 3 Group. It will be similar to those provided by large technology companies including Alibaba and Amazon. Microsoft previously offered a blockchain service until last year, when the software giant ended its Azure blockchain service.
