iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 14 Pro: Check Major Differences Here

iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 14 Pro

During the Far Out event, Apple revealed four new iPhone 14 models. Buyers are confused between two models- iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 14 Pro, bringing into question which iPhone is worth the upgrade.

The iPhone 14 feels like a very modest upgrade compared to the iPhone 13, while the iPhone 14 Pro features much more dramatic improvements over its predecessor, the iPhone 13 Pro. We’re going to mention all the differences between iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, so you can decide which phone is best for you.

iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 14 Pro: Major Differences

The major difference between iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro is the Camera Specifications. No doubt, both the devices bring new additions like the Photonic Engine and Active mode. Photonic Engine is for improving detail in low-light scenarios and Action Mode for more stable video when you’re on the move.

The major change is that the Pro gives us a new 48MP wide sensor. This is the first time Apple has shifted away from the 12MP sensor size. Further, Apple has added an extra 2x telephoto zoom option alongside the 3x option.

On the other hand, iPhone 14 still consists of two rear Cameras of 12 MP. So if you want to purchase the new models from a Camera point of view, the choice is simpler- iPhone 14 Pro.

Screen Size

If big screen size is your priority, then the Pro model is for you. The iPhone 14 Pro arrives in two screen sizes- 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. Moreover, it packs ProMotion so you get a silky smooth 120Hz refresh rate as opposed to a slower 60hz version.

It also arrives with an Always-On display mode that keeps certain elements of your lock screen always visible but dimmed. You gonna miss these features on the iPhone 14.

It is the first time, Apple has killed its Notch display in the Pro model. The notch is replaced with a wide pill-shaped cutout that is the main focus of what Apple calls Dynamic Island. This feature expands the cutout, taking advantage of the new screen real estate, for alerts and similar notifications. In the keynote, the feature looked slick, seeming to make good use of the space.

Apple’s notch display continues from 2017. The basic model still contains the notch look. If you get bored with the look of the phone, you should go with iPhone 14 Pro.

It is another area where you will find the major differences between the two models. The iPhone 14 sticks with the A15 Bionic from last year, which you will find in the iPhone 13 Pro — the one with a 5-core GPU. It’s still a powerful chip by today’s standards, outpacing even the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 from Qualcomm, although not by much.

Whereas, iPhone 14 Pro gets the new A16 Bionic with a hexa-core CPU, Penta-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine, all built on a 4nm process.
