Streaming giant Netflix has announced that it will provide its services in India free for two days. This is really good news for all Indians as they can witness any web series or movie on Netflix without entering their card details or subscription charges.

Earlier in October Netflix has revealed that it will provide free services in India for 48 hours. Streamfest of Netflix will start in India on December 5 and will end on December 6. Users just need to enter their name, email ID, and generate a password to get the benefits of this offer. This exciting promotion offer of Netflix will permit users to watch the whole catalog of the streaming king that includes web series, movies, documentaries, etc.

Netflix COO Greg Peters had stated during a conference call, “An idea we’re excited about — and we’ll see how it goes, we think that giving everyone in a country access to Netflix for free for a weekend could be a great way to expose a bunch of new people to the amazing stories that we have. Really creating an event, and hopefully, get a bunch of those folks to sign up.”

Users have to compromise with video quality during the streamfest as they will get SD streaming quality to browse the content of Netflix for free. But you can browse the entire stuff of Netflix on different devices including smart TV, gaming console, iOS, and Android apps, and on the PC.

Netflix has canceled its one-month free trial in India earlier this year. After it Netflix has stopped this offer in other markets as well.

In order to attract more and more consumers, Netflix also launched a low-cost mobile streaming plan that costs Rs. 199 per month. Not only this but also Netflix introduced many more short-term plans as per the pocket of the Indian user base.

“We have been working really hard to try and make our offering in India more competitive, more attractive to members and members-to-be, and there’s a bunch of different product features we’ve been doing, partnerships and payments integrations,” Netflix COO Peters had told analysts about its plans in India.

Though there are many streaming services in India like Amazon Prime, Hotstar, Zee5, Alt Balaji, Disney+, etc, Netflix is one of the most popular services among all.
