Overwatch 2 Roadmap

Blizzard Entertainment has finally released the much-anticipated shooter game- Overwatch 2. Apart from some DDoS attacks, the launch of Overwatch 2 has been pretty smooth so far. However, fans of the shooter were left a bit disappointed as the title’s release didn’t include the PvE game modes that the community has been excited about.

The developers wanted to make changes to the game, to keep it engaging. As a result, Overwatch 2 witnessed the team size reduced to five instead of 6. Besides this, it introduces the battle Pass, Passive roles, and Hero reworks.

Soon the game is going to introduce new heroes, new maps, skins, and more. Check out the details below

Complete Roadmap of Overwatch 2

October 4th – Season 1:

  • Three new heroes
  • Six new maps
  • 30+ new skins
  • New Battle Pass
  •  Mythic skin
  • New game mode

December 6th – Season 2:

  • New Tank hero
  • New map
  • 30+ new skins
  • New Battle Pass
  • New Mythic skin

2023 – Future Seasons:

  • New heroes

  • New Battle Passes
  • New modes
  • PvE begins

Overwatch 2: All Game Modes

Currently, Overwatch 2 players have access to the following official game modes:

  • Hybrid
  • Push
  • Escort
  • Control

There are also several Arcade modes for players to try:

  • Team Deathmatch
  • Elimination
  • Limited Duel
  • Low Gravity
  • No Limits

Like the other Mobile games, Overwatch 2 is divided into Seasons. Each Season will come with multiple tiers that can be reached by completing tasks. Reaching each tier unlocks rewards such as New Heroes, Skins, and more.

The game will arrive with two milestones- Free and Paid. Gamers will subscribe to the Premium Battle Pass will get free rewards.

In the Season 1 of the game, the developers have already introduced 3 Heroes- Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko. There are speculations that Season 2 will bring Hero no 36 to the game. Each Season is going to be nine weeks long. So, the next Season of the game will arrive in December. Season 2 rewards will contain New Maps and 30+ new Skins

For the unversed, Overwatch 2 is the sequel to Overwatch, a team-based first-person shooter action game centered around the heroes and villains of the titular Overwatch organization.
