Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched the most pocket-friendly smartphone Redmi A1+ in India. The launch comes right after the brand introduced the cheaper Redmi A1 a few weeks ago, in India. The newly launched A-series smartphone sports a leather-texture design, and it comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 5,000mAh battery, and an 8MP dual AI rear camera setup among other things

Redmi A1 Plus will be up for sale in the country. Interested buyers will be able to purchase the Redmi A1 Plus smartphone in India starting at 12 PM via Flipkart,, Mi Home, and other retail outlets in the country.

Redmi A1+ price in India, availability

Price of Redmi A1+ starts at Rs. 6,999 for the base 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. The phone also comes in a 3GB + 32GB version that will cost you Rs. 7,999. It is sold in Black, Light Blue, and Light Green color options. The handset will be available for purchase in the country through Flipkart,, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi’s retail partners starting October 17 at 12 pm IST.

Early buyers will be able to pick up the phone for Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,999 respectively, as a part of the introductory offer. This offer is valid until October 31.

Redmi A1 Plus Specifications

Talking about specifications, the Redmi A1 Plus smartphone comes with a 6.52-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a screen refresh rate of 60Hz, and a peak brightness of 400 nits. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek HelioA22 system-on-chip that is coupled with up to 3GB of RAM and up 32GB of storage space. It runs the Android 12 mobile operating system.

Photography on the Redmi A1+ is taken care of by a dual rear camera setup: an 8MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth shooter. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 5MP front-facing snapper.

Connectivity features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and VoLTE calling. Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. The company claims two days of battery life on the Redmi A1+.
