  • Twitter has created a new way for some of its users to check out new features before anyone else.
  • The service will include a number of paid and exclusive features.
  • The company will also bundle the ‘Undo Tweet’ function to its premium service.

Twitter announced a new feature called “Labs” that will give Twitter Blue subscribers early access to new features and experiments that Twitter is testing. For the unaware, Twitter Blue is a premium subscription service that gives you access to additional features and perks like the ability to undo tweets, Reader mode, Bookmark Folders, and so on.

Labs subscribers now have the ability to upload from their desktop videos that are up to 10-minutes long. Standard users currently only have the option to upload videos that are up to 2 minutes and 20 seconds long. Additionally, iOS users can now swipe to pin their favorite conversations to the top of their direct message inbox. Features in Twitter’s program include pinned conversations on iOS, which lets users pin DM conversations to the top of the list.

Twitter Blue subscription service: Features

  • Advanced video publishing tools – The capacity to publish significantly longer videos in your tweets.
  • Profile badges – A profile badge that links back to your business/employer.
  • Undo send – An option to recall your sent tweets within a 30-second window.
  • Custom color options – New ways to customize your Twitter profile presentation.
  • Auto replies – The capacity to add auto-response options to use in your tweet replies
  • Social listening – More insights into your tweet engagement and discussion around your Twitter handle.

The company is working on the ability to adjust the duration of the undo Tweet timer from 5 seconds to up to 30 seconds. Twitter started adding a splash page to the app asking users to enable ad tracking in compliance with Apple’s rules. The other feature is “Bookmark Collections,” where a tweet could be added and organized into a collection. The tweets could then be reviewed at a later time, or the collection can be shared.
