WhatsApp Group Polls Characteristic Noticed in Growth on Newest iOS Beta




The instant messaging application- WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to create polls on group chats. The company is also working on multi-device compatibility 2.0, which will let users connect to more devices, such as another smartphone or even an iPad, as WhatsApp is also working on a version for Apple’s tablet.

Group polls are currently available in other messaging services such as Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and Threema, and will make their way to an upcoming version of WhatsApp.

A new group polls feature is currently under development on the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS by feature leaker WABetaInfo. The feature is not accessible to users even on the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS as it is currently under development. The feature tracker shares a screenshot that shows the process of adding a new poll to a group on WhatsApp for iOS, giving users an idea of what the feature might look like when it is rolled out.

According to the screenshot, WhatsApp will ask you to enter the question of the poll to send in a WhatsApp group. Details, of course, are still sketchy as at the time of writing this. But the screenshot confirms that a polling feature is under development.

As of now, it’s unclear what WhatsApp’s take on this new feature will be. Whether it will have a limit of answers, how long people can take to vote, or how many polls can create at a time.

The new group polls feature will also arrive with end-to-end encryption. This will ensure that only the group’s participants are able to see the poll and the results. While the feature will arrive on WhatsApp for iOS. But it will eventually make its way to WhatsApp for Android and Desktop.

Currently, messaging services such as Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and Threema offer the ability to add group polls. This allows users to quickly make decisions in a group. Group polls can also help declutter a group chat and help organize responses to questions. It includes planning a team outing or picking among different options for an event venue. It is currently unclear when it will eventually roll the feature out to users.
