Xiaomi India sells over 20,00,000 smartphones just 5 days of the festive sale across channels




  • Xiaomi has claimed that it has sold over 2 million smartphones in India in recent sales.
  • There are bundled offers and discounts through quiz for consumers to get their hands on their favorite smartphone
  • Xiaomi claims it achieved over 150 percent year-on-year growth.

After yesterday’s announcement of 100K Smart TV sales in 3 days, Xiaomi India today announced that it has sold 2 million or 20 lakh smartphones in less than 5 days of the festive sale across platforms, thanks to ‘Diwali With Mi’ on, Great Indian Shopping Festival on Amazon and The Big Billion Days on Flipkart that offered discounts on the smartphones.

The Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G and Mi 11X Series, acquired the most demand in the premium segment, and the Redmi Note 10S, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Redmi 9 Series in the mid-value segment recorded the most sales. The company also recorded a 10 times growth in its premium segment smartphones in comparison to the sales in the same period last year.

The Redmi Note series is a big deal around the world and it has proven particularly popular in India – if it was an independent brand, it would be #3 or #4 smartphone brand in the Indian market, according to Manu Kumar Jain, the Managing Director of Xiaomi India.

The company claims that Redmi 9 Power and Redmi 9A was the best selling smartphone on Amazon in the sub Rs 10,000 category. The Redmi note 10 and Mi 11X were also popular models that were sold during the sale period. Furthermore, in the 5G category, the brand says that Xiaomi 11 Lite NE emerged as the top-selling smartphone on the e-commerce platform.
