YouTube’s Primetime Channels bring streaming movies and TV into the YouTube app

YouTube Primetime Channels

YouTube is one of the best video streaming platforms that lets you watch full movie trailers and listen to Music. Now, the platform arrives with a new feature called Primetime Channels. Under this feature, viewers can watch movies from 30 Streaming sites directly on the YouTube interface.

Besides movies, YouTube users will be able to watch TV shows and live Telecast within the main app. For this, YouTube has signed up 35 partners for the launch, from big-name streaming services like Paramount Plus and Epix to niche offerings like The Great Courses and Magnolia Selects. Interested people will be able to subscribe directly from the Youtube app.

These videos will appear in the Movies and TV section of the YouTube app, in search results, recommendations, and elsewhere around the platform. Viewers can like, comment, or dislike any video.

Primetime Channels include Showtime, Starz, Paramount+, Vix+, Tastmade+, and AMC+, among others from the app. The Company is going to add NBA League Pass and more streaming services soon.

The Company wrote in a blog post:

“Once you sign up, content from your Primetime Channels will be reflected in the YouTube experience you know and love. For fans who like to go deeper into what they’re watching, Primetime Channels homepages will feature shows and movies with curated trailers, behind-the-scenes footage, and cast interviews.”

It’s frustrating for people to hop from app to app to manage their subscriptions across apps. The Company came up with Primetime Channels to make things simpler and sorted.

At the time of the launch, Primetime Channels will be going to launch only in the U.S. However, the Company will expand its availability in other countries very soon. This new feature can be accessible in YouTube’s Movies & Shows hub, which can be found in the Explore tab.

YouTube Primetime Channels: How to Subscribe?

Subscribing to these channels is very simple. YouTube users must open the Youtube app and move to the Movies and TV hub. Users will find all the channels here. Viewers can subscribe to the desired channel by paying monthly fees.

Like other streaming platforms, Primetime Channels functionality will let users pay the rent of the movie or the show they want to watch.
