Highlights:

  • Microsoft has announced the dates for this year’s Build developer conference: May 25-27.
  • It will begin with a keynote from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on May 25 at 8:30 pm IST.
  • The event will be free for everyone to attend.

Microsoft Build is among the company’s largest events held annually. It is focused on developers. Microsoft also uses the Build to announce new updates to its services like Windows, Office, Edge, and more.

Microsoft announced new features for its Teams collaboration platform, Project Reunion, and other updates. Build 2020 was a digital-only event.

Microsoft Build 2020 was also held remotely. The 48-hour event was free of charge; workshops and keynotes were live-streamed. The build is primarily targeted at developers and is often Microsoft’s opportunity to showcase upcoming changes to Windows, Office, Edge, and other services.

At last year’s conference, the company exhibited its Fluid Framework, PowerToys Run launcher, and Project Reunion, among other new products.

The keynote will start at 9 pm IST. The technical sessions will follow from 10 pm IST. To be held with live QnA sessions, viewers will be able to choose from five different technical sessions based on their interests.

Microsoft Build 2021 physical event:

“In light of the health safety recommendations for Washington State, we will deliver our annual Microsoft Build event for developers as a digital event, in lieu of an in-person event,” Microsoft said while canceling the Microsoft Build 2021 physical event.

“The safety of our community is a top priority,” a Microsoft spokesperson told in a statement regarding last year’s announcement. “We look forward to bringing together our ecosystem of developers in this new virtual format to learn, connect and code together.”
