Apple has rolled out a new “Discovery Stations” tab for Apple Music subscribers. Suggested the name “Discovery Station” which is designed to help customers discover new music that they might like.

Invention Station is a personalized radio station that continuously plays songs based on your listening history and preferences. It’s similar to Spotify’s “Find Out Weekly” playlist. Though it offers a more dynamic feel with new songs being added all the time.

Apple Tracks already automatically creates a station based on your name. It usually consists of curated songs from your stored playlists or songs that you listen to regularly. Discovery Station is not like that. It is personalized for each eligible individual. Based solely on their listening history and probabilities.

Moreover, it plays non-stop broadcasts of the latest songs. With new songs being introduced all the time. We gave Invention Station a try, but we noticed that the songs kept repeating themselves and the artist selection became too varied. How to Find “Discovery Station” on Apple Music?

To create your Discovery station, open the Apple Music app and tap the “Listen Now” tab. Then, scroll down to the Stations for you section and tap on “Discovery Stations.” The station will immediately start playing, and you can thumbs up or thumbs down songs to help Apple improve its guidelines.

Discovery Station is based on machine learning and algorithms to choose the songs that you might like. Apple Music relies heavily on machine learning to cater to users’ song tastes.

Discovery Station is available on the Apple Tunes app on iOS and Mac. It’s uncertain if the feature has been introduced on the Android app yet, but it’s highly probable that it will be added soon.
