South Korean game developer Krafton on Thursday unveils its Esports 2022 Roadmap for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) that includes tournaments, cash prizes, and more in India. The tournament is claiming to bring a prize pool of Rs. 6 crores, with Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series 1 and Season 2 giving away the prize money of Rs. 2 crores each.

The esports tournaments will begin with a Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge (BMOC). Registrations for the first event will start at the end of the month, the developer said.

The registration for the BMOC will start at the end of this month, followed by an in-game qualifier at the end of March.

Krafton will organize two Pro Series this year, each carrying a massive prize pool of 2 Crore INR. This will be the largest prize pool for a single esports event in India. BGIS will also return for a new season later this

Currently, there is no fixed date for when these tournaments begin. But registrations for Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge (BMOC) start at the end of February, with in-game qualifiers being set for March-end.

Last year, the developer Krafton reveals that BGMI recorded over 600,000 registrations, more than 200 million views, and witnessed over 4,93,000 peak concurrent viewership.
