Google readies its platform for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022

For this, the Company rolls out a bunch of new updates. The Company has added new features on Google Search, Google Assistant, Google Discover, YouTube, and Google TV.

Want to get minute-by-minute details of the matches? So easy! Now people can search with phrases like “FIFA World Cup” or the “World Cup,” and they will get the latest scores from the tournament. You can subscribe to tournament notifications by hitting the bell icon.

Here are all the new features coming to Google’s services regarding the 2022 FIFA World Cup:

Google Search

Want to get the details of the match, just type FIFA World Cup in Google Search. All the latest updates regarding the match will appear on the screen. The users can even click on the bell in the top-right-hand corner to opt-in to receive notifications about the teams of their choice. If you want to follow individual matches but don’t want to search every time for updates, they can pin scores to the home screen. Users can also watch important moments from the matches with daily recap videos directly on Search from FIFA+ and official broadcasters, including beIN SPORTS, BBC, ZDF, and more.

The search giant is soon adding the ability to rate a player based on how users think they will perform in the tournament. They can also compare these scores with other players.

YouTube TV

YouTube TV subscribers will be able to watch live the FIFA World Cup 2022 on FOX and FS1. Moreover, the members who have subscribed to the 4K Plus add-on can enjoy all the FIFA World Cup Matches in ultra-high-definition video quality.
