How To Stream And Play PlayStation Games On Phone

If you want to play your PS5 games on a desktop or laptop, you can stream them using the PS Remote Play app. Download the app for Windows(Opens in a new window) or Mac(Opens in a new window), install it, then log into your PSN account. It will then search for all PlayStation consoles available for streaming.
What is PS Remote Play?
PS Remote Play is an app that lets you continue gaming on the go. You can stream your PS4 and PS5 games, switch between games, navigate the home screen and browse the console’s menus on any compatible device connected to a Wi-Fi network or using your mobile data.
With the app, you can start playing with your PlayStation console on a TV, pause your game, and open the PS Remote Play app on your mobile device, and your game will be there, ready to keep playing from where you left off. Or you can turn on your PlayStation console and start playing directly from the app without ever turning on your TV.
Compatible devices
If you want the Nintendo Switch game feel when streaming games using PS4 Remote Play, the PlayStation Vita is your best bet. However, not all games are compatible with the device, plus Sony discontinued the handheld in 2019, although there are plenty to purchase through Amazon. The PlayStation TV set-top box is also a good way to stream the best PS4 games in another part of the house.

How to set up your mobile device for Remote Play
Download the Remote Play app to your Android or iOS device. Be aware that Remote Play uses a lot more data than most video streaming services. So if you’re using Remote Play with mobile data, be careful not to exceed your data cap and run up a large phone bill.
Launch PS Remote Play on your mobile device, and then select Sign In to PSN. Use the same account for your PS5 console. Tap the gear icon in the top right to open the Settings menu.
To track how much data you are using, you can turn on Notify Me When Using Mobile Data. Each time you start Remote Play using mobile data, you’ll get a notification. You can reduce the image quality to save on mobile data. To do so, select Video Quality for Streaming.
