Instagram has been shut down for select users around the world, and users are reporting a number of issues. One of which is not being able to refresh the feed. According to DownDetector, more than a hundred users are currently reporting those problems.
Instagram or Meta are not yet aware of the outage.
Right now, it seems like the issue is limited to Android customers as there aren’t too many outage reviews from iPhone or internet customers. According to reviews from X, formerly known as Twitter. Some users are not able to refresh the feed, and for others, the entire Instagram gallery has gone blank. Some customers are also reporting issues with the direct message function.
According to DownDetector, 66 percent of these reports come from the app. 27 percent of which are feed-related reviews and only 7 percent of these reports come from the website.
At present, it is doubtful what is causing this blockage. Meta’s photograph and video-sharing platform has suffered some recent outages, including, in July, the service down for several hours, leaving many users inaccessible. In March, service was down for hundreds of users. Again, the organization resolved the issue within several hours.
