Whatsapp launches ‘Message Privately’ campaign. WhatsApp collaborated with BBDO India to create two ads that highlight how its features like texts, video calls or even a voice message (which is end-to-end encrypted) help replicate safe in-person conversations.
The messaging app has tried to give enough time to its users to read the new policy changes and then accept. The previous time, WhatsApp users were shocked by the way messaging apps forced people to accept the new changes. This time WhatsApp wants to communicate the latest changes and is ready to offer its users, time to read and then accept.
Head of WhatsApp, Will Cathcart Said:
“End-to-end encryption protects the privacy of the personal moments we share every day. We believe people have a right to communicate without companies or third parties listening in and we want everyone to know the lengths WhatsApp goes to protect their private messages. The Message Privately campaign expresses our commitment to privacy for our users and what we’re doing to build new ways to protect their messages.”
According to WhatsApp, the key updates include:
- More information about its service and how it processes user data.
- How businesses can use Facebook-hosted services to store and manage their WhatsApp chats.
- How WhatsApp partners with Facebook to offer integrations across the company products.
The ‘Message Privately’ campaign’s India edition has been rolled out with two ad films for TV – Golden Jubilee and Dream Job.
