CBSE issues strict orders on use of ChatGPT during class 10 and 12 board exams

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the latest Educational Institute that bans the use of ChatGPT. ChatGPT is an artificial Intelligence-powered chatbot created by the US Research lab. Students are prohibited from taking them inside the Educational hall for CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams. According to Board Officials that using Chatbot will be considered an unfair tactic during the exam.

As per the latest instructions issued by the Board ahead of the Examinations- “Mobile, ChatGPT, and other Electronic items will not be allowed in the Examination hall”

This is not the first instance of ChatGPT being banned to use in Academic activities. ChatGPT has also been banned in some Public Schools in New York City and Seattle, French University Sciences Po. Schools, and Colleges in the United States have directed Students not to use the Software tool. In January, Bengaluru RV University disallowed the use of chatbots on Campus. It also conducts surprise checks to ensure that the order is being fully complied with.

The GPT in ChatGPT stands for “Generative Pre-trained Transformer” which means that the model is pre-trained on a vast corpus of text. The best feature of chatGPT is the ability to generate relevant responses to open-ended questions. ChatGPT can help Students to pass their University exams in just twenty minutes. The bot also passed a US law School Exam. Students are already using ChatGPT to complete their homework.

The Central Education Board warns Students against using unethical methods to pass exams. “You should not engage in any unfair practice. If found, you will be charged with Unfair Means Activity and action will be taken in accordance with the Board’s rules.

There are many AI Powered tools such as Google Assistant, Alexa, and Siri available for a while but ChatGPT is a far more impressive tool. This tool has the capability to generate Conversational responses within seconds.
